Donations
Donations to Berrydown Foundation are voluntary contributions intended to support charitable work. We encourage informed giving and never want anyone to feel pressured to donate.
General and restricted donations
Unless specifically accepted for a restricted appeal, donations may be used where trustees consider the need greatest within the Foundation’s charitable activities. Restricted appeals are handled in line with their stated purpose and applicable law.
Errors and unauthorised payments
If you entered the wrong amount, were charged twice, believe a payment was made without authority or experienced a technical error, contact us promptly. Do not send full card details by email.
Refunds
Charitable donations are generally different from ordinary purchases. A refund is not automatically available because a donor changes their mind. We will consider requests fairly and return funds where there is a valid right to do so or where refunding is legally permitted and appropriate.
Recurring donations
You may request cancellation of future recurring donations. This does not normally mean previous valid donations will be refunded.
Refusing or returning donations
We may refuse, return or seek advice about a donation where accepting or retaining it could be unlawful, unsafe or seriously conflict with our responsibilities.
